Marching in like a LION!

Not only with weather, but with activity!  We are certainly off and running this month!

We began our week celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with fun activities (some cooking included).  We have worked on our shapes, made pictures with shapes, and even practiced our color words.

As a class Lenten promise, we've been reading a Bible story each day.  We made it through the story of Moses today.  We focused on how God gave Pharaoh 10 warnings (but we didn't think Mom & Dad gave that many!), and how Moses begged him to obey God, and how God rescued his people... BOTH from the final (and worst) consequence of disobeying AND from Egypt.  We know that God has always wanted to rescue his people from the very beginning.  But we have to trust and obey Him!

This was a timely conversation since a little 'cabin fever' has started to set in.  It is hard to obey adults that God has trusted to help us.  As one child told me, "Mrs. Hacker, we just wanted to do what WE wanted to do."  Sometimes we have to obey, even when we don't want to.  WOW!  Big conversations, big life lessons!  Great stuff!  Hope this helps you talk about obeying at home, how you handle doing hard things (even when you don't want to!), and how consequences for disobeying isn't fun.
